Artist Statement

I grew up in a small, simple town in Brazil, home to one of the world’s 7 natural wonders: Iguaçu Falls. Surrounded by this powerful, awe-inspiring landscape, I learned that balance lies in the interplay between order and chaos.

During my childhood, I helped my grandmother plant and harvest straw crops. Making and selling brooms was sometimes what put bread and milk on the table. These experiences sharpened my craft-making skills from an early age, skills that I later integrated into my artistic process. Each piece I create tells its own story as I shape it, reminding me that art has its own voice.

Some of my fondest memories are the simple joys of childhood—playing soccer, flying kites, and twirling hula hoops, alongside crafting with leftover straw. These are the moments that stay with me.

Inspired by this, my collection aims to tell the story of simplest and the most cherished childhood memories.
