Miranda Fair

My work is whimsical and consists of silver and colourful gems that strongly contrast each other. I make wearable jewellery for special occasions. This is reflected in my inspiration for joining small components and focusing on their shape and aspects, similar to the small, focused world you create when making jewellery. I draw inspiration from nature, in particular my garden. I love our grape vines on our veranda that intertwine and curl, making different shapes. And I strive to incorporate this into my work through the repetitive use of wire and small, delicate floral parts.
